Actually ... Very good food. Our waitress was very average . But it's a nice venue and the food was both good and presented well.
I always have a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff are outstanding and the chefs cater to whatever needs I ask for. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone; first time triers of Japanese cuisine or people who are long time fans. If there ever was a problem, it was easily fixed. The waitresses were so polite and always seeing if I needed anything or if anything could be done. Thank you Ootoya for always presenting 5 star food and service, at a reasonable price. I will be returning as often as I can. Thank you so much!
my Partner and i eat at Ootoya all the time! by far the best traditional Japanese food in Coffs. as soon as you walk in the lovely waitresses off you some drinks and FREE meso soup which is awesome! the chefs there are always quick with the meals but don't forget about being presentable. every meal i have had there is perfectly cooked and delicious. when it comes to Japanese food i would high recommend Ootoya Japanese Sushi Bar.
Not the cheapest but it is the best sushi and traditionally sashimi in Coffs Harbour. The food and customer service are always consistently great, and they also offer take away if you are feeling like a lazy night at home.
