I had a fantastic meal tonight at the Bistro (chicken breast, risotto ball and broccolini). There was nothing about my meal that could be faulted. I'd like to also thank Connor and Josh for their understanding and assistance after MY error in the meal. Thank you thank you for such a wonderful meal and positive "dining out" experience in Coffs Harbour.
Visually, this place was lovely. The food when it arrived was great. Our issue was the time frame waited for our meals to come. We waited over 1.5 hrs for our meal, 1 hr difference from our friends, who were two in front when ordering. When going out for a meal with friends you expect to eat together, not an hr apart. Especially with 2 children in tow, the timeframe was hard enough for adults to endure let along small kids. There was no resolution when we complained after not receiving our meal. Could have been handled a lot better.
Amazing place for a weekend away! Food is great drinks are ice cold..... most importantly ALL the staff are kind friendly and welcoming, chatting and having a laugh. The room my mate and i stayed in was cleaned to detail. Will definitely be back!
I've visited the Hoey Moey on two occasions now, both times for concerts but several years apart. I will say, the remodel has made the place absolutely gorgeous! Spacious bar with awesome area to watch bands or even just chill and catch the football. Outside smoking area as well as a restaurant inside that has, quite possibly, the best Chicken Parmigiana I've had in years! Oh and their chips with gravy... *drools*.If you plan on staying the night just keep in mind that it is a backpackers so the rooms are extremely basic but they are well maintained and clean. Definitely worth the visit.
Up here on a holiday. Wanted a casual night out. Not only were all the meals served COLD, to later find out after my first bite the food tasted off! Complained to only overhear their staff (within earshot) asking what the expiry date was on the package of seafood! Absolutely horrible experience; their staff were horrible and rude to deal with this venue deserves 0 stars - Mac Donalds can serve you better food.
